Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois is best known for large installations and sculptures inspired by her own memories and experiences.
She would transfer her emotions into material. A lot of anger, frustration. The materials were used as resistance. A need to express on the outside what she was feeling internally.
Early work was dealing with her father and the aggression towards her. Late work was towards her mother who was a sower and tapestry worker.
